I'm a writer, critic and academic and my work has been published in The White Review, British Vogue, n+1, The Paris Review Daily, Prospect, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Texte zur Kunst and Another Gaze.
In 2016 I earned a PhD on ideas of luxury in contemporary French philosophy, literature, installation art and film from the University of Cambridge, and from 2016-2020 I was a research fellow in French and Visual Culture at King’s College, Cambridge. A book based on my PhD dissertation, Luxury, Sensation and the Moving Image will be published by Legenda Press's Moving Image Series in 2021.
From 2010-11 I studied fiction writing at Harvard University as a Herchel Smith Scholar with Amy Hempel. In 2012 I won ELLE Magazine's young talent competition for a fiction entry titled 'First Love' and have also had short stories published in The Mays and Vestoj. My current project, a novel about Marguerite Duras, is being represented by Julia Eagleton at Janklow & Nesbit literary agency UK.
